Lamb & Wool Queen Contest
Saturday 9:30 am - Sheep Barn
- Registration 9:00 am
Ages 8-18 years
All contestants should be prepared to give a brief description of
their sheep or related field project.

| Contestants will be judged on the following: |
| |
1. Sheep Knowledge (50%) |
| |
2. Current involvement with sheep or related area (30%) |
| |
3. Poise (10%) |
| |
4. Speaking ability (10%) |
| |
| The new Sheep Festival Queen will hand out ribbons and
awards for the Lamb Show and the Lead Line Competition during the festival. |

| The Queen will receive a sash and $50 savings bond Donated
by Exchange Bank of Northeast MO. |

The objective of these classes is to give exhibitors an opportunity to showcase wool outfits and present themselves and their sheep in the most attractive manner. |

| Exhibitors will write a narrative to be read during competition. Forms must be completed at or before registration. You may pre-register by sending your information to: |

Entries in the classes are open to any age, male or female. The sheep may be of any breed and age must be conditioned and fitted for show, and halter broke.
A panel of judges will use the following standards when judging the classes:
- Exhibitors garment (attractiveness as well as suitable and practical for exhibitor’s maturity, etc.) Garment may be made by exhibitor or purchased. Entrants must wear wool or wool blend outfits. Score = 50%
- Poise and Appearance (accessories, presentation, appropriate for exhibitor’s maturity and style of garment, etc.) Score= 25%
- Control and presentation of sheep. Score= 25%

Ear Tag Scramble
-ages 3-6 and 7-10-
Each individual must find 1 ear tag in tub of corn.
Winner from each age group
Fleece on a spoon
-ages 3-6 and 7-10 (age group may be altered)-
Each age group will race with a piece of fleece laying on top of a spoon to the finish line.
